I started recording music on a 4-track tape machine in 1990. What began as experimenting with bass and drum machines grew into a lifelong focus on recording, production and mixing.
After studying Audio Design at the Utrecht School of Arts, I worked at Wisseloord Studios, where I developed a strong technical foundation in recording and mixing across a wide range of genres.
Since then I have had the pleasure to work with great artists and producers including: Erykah Badu, Knalpot, Tom Trago, Tim Palmer (David Bowie, U2), Yoad Nevo (Pet Shop Boys, Sia), Hans-Martin Buff (Prince), Niklas Paschburg, Brownswood, Attie Bauw, Joep Beving and Hania Rani to name a few.
Whether I’m involved from the first demo or brought in at the final mix stage, my role is consistent: to listen carefully and protect your vision through all stages of production. Remove what doesn’t serve the music, and make sure what matters comes through.
I often say that “good sound is the absence of bad sound”, removing what distracts, so the music can speak clearly. Not flashy. Not overworked. Just clear. Honest. Alive.
